SARAH HENSON-DARKO, M.ED. 

Master Teacher, Science

Biography


Sarah attended The College of Saint Rose, where she earned a B.A. In Biology.  She worked as a staff scientist for a groundwater consulting firm before returning to graduate school.  Sarah earned a M.Ed. in Secondary Science Education through University of Maryland’s MCERT program.  She spent four years teaching high school science in Montgomery County Public Schools at Northwood High School, followed by four years teaching middle school science at Two Rivers Public Charter School, an Expeditionary Learning school in Washington, DC.

As a Master Teacher, Sarah has a strong background in problem based learning, database development, and grant writing.
